Catching Up & Being Lazy

I've completed several pages since living in the hotel room. I didn't feel like listing any of my supplies because I'm having a lazy day. Basically, I used Crystal Wilkerson's products for everything unless otherwise listed. If you really want to know something specific, just ask and I'll tell you :) And next time I'll be more thorough. Enjoy!
I scraplifted this idea from the December Creating Keepsakes magazine. I think it turned out pretty cute!

I used a Katie Pertiet template here.

I love digital scrapbooking because it's so easy to keep up! We just had Thanksgiving, and I'm already done with my pages :)

I used an Ali Edwards template for this layout.

A sweet page - Brent's dad gave everyone a copy of his personal history for Christmas. Brent and Blake immediately sat down and started reading. It was tender :)

The first page in my December Album. The template came from Jessica Sprague's Holidays in Hand course.

It was hard, but worth it.

I finally finished Type+Writer, and I think this last layout may be my favorite. (Which is saying something, because I've really loved them all!) If only I had a picture of Victoria actually reading the book.
Supplies Used: Jessica Sprague Template (Type+Writer) "Story", Crystal Wilkerson's October 2009 Sweet Papers, Seeing Stars dingbat font, Designer Mixed dingbat font, type fonts: Arial, Ma Sexy, and Georgia

I copied this idea out of the November issue of Creating Keepsakes. It seemed only fitting as we are beginning Our New Life in the Army. :)

Supplies Used: Crystal Wilkerson's August 2009 Papers (yellow), Crystal Wilkerson's Sweet Apoxy Alpha in Pink Polkadot, Jessica Sprague Blue Solid Paper, Pattie Knox Absolutely Acryllic Alpha, Leora Apronstrings2 Heart Pin, Katie Pertiet Sanded Overlay, Font: Lucida Handwriting. Layout scraplifted from Creating Keepsakes October '09 issue (Mandy Douglass, p. 31.)
Have a Happy Halloween!

A Template for you!!

It turns out that if you spend days on end in a hotel room, you end up with plenty of time to Photoshop ;) Enjoy the template!
In this one, I shortened the journaling strip and then copied that layer and moved/resized it for some horizontal journaling. I also merged photo squares #4+5 to allow for a longer photo.
Supplies Used: Orchard & Broome Bleeker Street Paper Pack set 2, Katie Pertiet Basic Journal Spots-4, Font: Jane Austen, Happy Daze, Leicester

This one was my original design, but I don't think anyone else will want the long journaling strip... Oh well.

Supplies Used: Katie Pertiet Across the Meadow Paper, Alpha, & Elements, Katie Pertiet AroundTime-4, Font: Jane Austen

I extended the journaling tag for my layout because it worked better with my title. The template is a layered PSD file, so you can adjust it to fit your needs.

If you don't know how to use templates, watch Jessica Sprague's Free Tutorial. It will open up all kinds of doors for you!

You can download both fonts featured on the template at DaFont.com.

Click here for the Jane Austen font.

Click here for the Happy Daze font.

Hope you can find a use for this! Enjoy it, and happy scrappin'. xoxo

So Behind

I've been trying to keep up with the Type+Writer course at Jessica Sprague, but between work, 4 small kids, and moving cross-country, I've fallen way behind :( But I just finished this layout and it's too cute not to share!

Still loving Photoshop (and I'll be you're so surprised.)

I've been busy (in real life and in Photoshop!) but finally found some time to post my most recent layouts. Let me know what you think! **also, I'll be puting up more templates and brushes once we get moved and settled. So come back often :)
Skinny Dip: I didn't write down what supplies I used. Big taboo. Sorry!

Harry Potter Party - I don't love this layout. Oh well.
Supplies Used: Indie Pops Celebrate Kit, KPertiet Graph Notepaper, CK Circle Text Paths (free download Oct. 09), Crystal Wilkerson's funky scallops and stiches brush, Summer Driggs Energy Striped Paper, Font: You Are Loved and Pea Lauryn.

High Roller - and wouldn't you know it, now she's moved on to crawling?!
Supplies Used: Jessica Sprague Princessa Kit, Jessica Sprague Pink Solid Paper. Can't remember the fonts...

Ella, 7 Months - Such a cutie!!
Supplies Used: Jessica Sprague Beautiful Evidence Template 1, Jessica Sprague Princessa Paper & Embellishments, KPertiet Stitched Tab, Font: Wish I Were Taller.

The Final Tally - that last tab should be in the same font as the rest, but I didn't catch that until after saving it for the web. I've corrected it on my jpeg :)

I haven't done much in the way of stuff to share--but I have my whole "new life" planned out and you should be getting regular treats once I settle into my new groove. Hopefully before Christmas, but at least by the new year. Thanks for stopping by! xoxo

What did you do for summer vacation?

Summer is over and school is back in session! We spent our last week of vacation swimming for six (or more) hours every day! Enjoy the layouts---they sum-up our entire month of August!

Supplies used: Summer Driggs Easy Breezy Papers & Embellishments
Supplies Used: Crystal Wilkerson's August 2009 Paper Pack, Alphabe Cards, and Jumbo Alphabets

Same supplies used here. I removed some personal information (on the blank pink square and underneath Victoria's pics.)

I hope your summer was just as good as ours!

Brushes! Woo Hoo!

Did you know that brushes rock? Well, they do. And guess what else? I learned how to make my own brushes! So enjoy my first attempt at a brush set. They simple date stamps. Inside the zipped folder is the brush file (abr.) and a jpeg of the brush set. If you use them, I'd love to see your work :)

Just a few...

This was my last assignment in my Digi: In Deep Class. It was fun! I have seriously never used so many layers in my life!
The bonus challenge was to create a second page to the layout. So there you go :)

And a cutie little boy eating corn on the cob. Enjoy!

A Weekend Full of Digi-Scrap

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I LOVE digital scrapbooking! Seriously. When I think about it, I sometimes do a little happy dance. But enough gushing. Here are the layouts that I finished this weekend: (I'm still working on my overall design, and some I like better than others...)
Yes, that really was the first day of school picture for Victoria (she was tired of me taking photos!)

Turning 3 was the last assignment in my Now We're Rockin' Class

Then & Now was Assignment 2 from my Digi: In Deep Class

Backwards Birthday was my first assignment in Digi: In Deep
(**Don't forget to download the new template in the post below. And since I've posted it, I thought of a few things to mention: Any layer with a "+" sign is one that should be used as a clipping mask. I used a gray color for my title, but you should change it to whatever color works for your layout. And now I'm drawing a blank...hopefully that was everything I wanted to tell you...)

Long Weekend = More Photoshop!

Happy Pioneer Day everyone! We went up to the cabin again. There is no phone, no internet, and very few TV channels---this makes it easy to focus on other things (ie. Photoshop! Not that it's hard to talk me into doing photoshop...) Anyhoo, I made another template just for you!
I got super fancy and put a curled corners drop shadow on the journaling tag. (In my layout I used some graph paper by livE Designs, but I can't share that with you so I made a creamish-colored tag for you to use.) I added a label for my date, and put a grungy frame underneath my photo mat. Oh, I also stamped a spider web brush in the upper left corner to help direct the eye towards my focal photo and title. Have fun and let me know what you do with it!

(and for those of you who are counting, I'm still working on No. 3!)
I used a handful of different papers from different designers, and I didn't keep track of who did what. Oops! But I used Shabby Princess Moody Blues Paper, Summer Driggs Happy Father's Day Paper, a random free set of blue/green papers, Crystal's Neutral Paper Pack, Spiderweb brushes by Alwin, and Alfredo font.
For personal use only (and someone, please use one and show me your handi-work!)

Another Template!

So, I was completing an assignment from my Jessica Sprague online course and made another template in the process. Lucky you! My assignment challenge was to use non-rectangle/square shapes on my layout, and to scrapbook around the theme "nerdy little secrets." I centered my layout around a few of my quirks, but I think this layout would work really well for events that have lots of random photos but a unified theme (like baby's firsts, or a summer BBQ, etc.) Get creative! And I'd love to see what you do!

Supplies I used: Crystal's 2009 Neutral Paper Pack, Sweet Shoppe Designs Carnival Papers and Elements, CS-retro circles Brushes, and Adler Font.
For personal use only :)

A few more layouts :)

Did I mention how much I love digital scrapbooking? Yep. Love it. Enjoy the new layouts, and hopefully I'll have another template coming soon :)
